Healthy Passages: A Community-based Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (U19): This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) solicits Research Program (U19) cooperative agreement applications for participation in the longitudinal Healthy Passages research program. Healthy Passages is a multi-year longitudinal study designed to: (1) to characterize trends over time and the relative contribution of important factors that influence health behaviors and outcomes across time, and (2) to understand the factors that cause disparities in health outcomes by race/ethnicity and gender. A sample of 5th grade students in three cities was selected in 2004 for participation in Healthy Passages. Data collection from children and their parents will continue until the children reach age 20 years.
