Monitoring and Assessment of the Miller Woods Subunit - Great Lakes Northern Forest CESU: This announcement is to provide public notice of the intention of the National Park Service (NPS) to fund the following project activities without competition.
The objective of this agreement is to assess four potential delisting four beneficial use impairments (BUIs) including, fish and wildlife populations, fish tumors and other deformities, eutrophication or undesirable algae, and loss of fish and wildlife habitat at each of the 62 randomly selected wetlands in the Miller Woods subunit of Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, a unit of the National Park Service. Public purpose will be addressed through gains of new knowledge provided through research and related results dissemination of natural, cultural and/or historical resource information, and the project will assists in the creation, promotion, facilitation, and/or improvement of the public’s understanding of natural, cultural, historic, recreational and other aspects of areas such as ecological conservation areas, and state and local parks.
