NOTICE OF INTENT: Kiowa County, Colorado, Murdock Building Agreement: A. Project Goals â¿¿ The goal of this Agreement is for the purpose of providing: fulfillment of the mission and development of the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site and the economic development of Kiowa County through the development of park support facilities within the county. B. Project Objectives â¿¿ The rehabilitation and construction of final core and shell and tenant finishes in the Murdock Building will provide visitor services for the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site and contribute to the economic vitality of a small community in a rural, agricultural area of the state. This will be accomplished through the development of NPS support facilities, including a Visitor Center and Research and Learning Center. The second portion of this project will provide improvements to visitor facilities for the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site by purchasing and delivering gravel for road base and rock for improved interpretive signage.
