Oklahoma Irrigation Systems: The work shall consist of providing engineering services to Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) participants as required to implement the irrigation system and irrigation water conveyance components of their conservation plan. The work area is statewide. Components may include but are not limited to: Sprinkler Irrigation Systems; Trickle Irrigation Systems; Irrigation water conveyance pipelines, canals and ditches; Tail water recovery systems; Land leveling; Pumping plant evaluation and design; and Water measurement facilities. NRCS has identified a need to provide engineering services for EQIP program participants over the duration of this project. Services to be provided may include but are not limited to site investigation, surveying; soil sampling; hydrology; hydraulic design; structural design; soil mechanics design; preparation of construction drawings and specifications; construction site layout; construction observation; and quality assurance testing. All services shall be provided in accordance with applicable NRCS policy and criteria that can be found at the following websites: NRCS Field Office Technical Guide: http://efotg.nrcs.usda.gov; NRCS National Irrigation Guide: http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/nrcsirrig/; and NRCS National Engineering Handbook References: http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/technical/ENG/. All plan maps and all digital data used to develop plan maps/photographs will be in UTM NAD83 projection. All digital data will be developed using GPS within 20 feet of true ground position. Digital data files and maps will be provided to NRCS in addition to paper products. One or more cooperative agreements may be awarded from this announcement. Awards are subject to the availability of funds. Cooperative agreements have been determined to be the appropriate funding instrument because NRCS anticipates being substantially involved in carrying out the work covered by the resulting cooperative agreement(s).
