Pain Management Evidence-Based Guideline: This project will assist a national organization representing EMS medical directors to develop an EBG and model EMS treatment protocol for the pharmacologic management of acute pain by EMS in the prehospital setting. A manuscript describing the EBG and the methodology used to develop it will be written for submission to a scientific journal such as Prehospital Emergency Care. These tools will be used by EMS medical directors to improve patient care.
