Partnership in Resource Enhancement, Protection and Education- NIOB: The objective of this agreement is to address selected management and stewardship issues within Niobrara National Scenic River. This project engages recipients, partners, communities, and/or visitors in shared environmental stewardship. The project assists in the creation, promotion, facilitation, and/or improvement of the public's understanding of natural, cultural, historic, recreational and other aspects of areas such as ecological conservation areas, and state and local parks. The Niobrara Council will assist NPS with the effort to address infrastructure needs consistent with established priorities outlined in the 2007 GMP and participate in efforts directed at protecting, enhancing, and restoring the ORVs of Niobrara NSR, to maintain the rural, agricultural landscape in partnership with the NPS; and deliver educational and interpretive programs and events to youth and others within the local community.
