Patterns of deposition of heavy metal - enriched dust along the Red Dog haul road and the effects on non-vascular plant communities: This is a cooperative agreement between the NPS and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The NPS will provide ecological expertise associated with non-vascular plants. The University of Alaska Fairbanks will provide expertise with spatial modeling and statistical analysis. Both areas of expertise are required to produce a rigorous evaluation of the effects of heavy metal deposition on nonvascular plant communities. UAF and NPS will each play a significant role in developing all models and documents together, and the process will require substantial communication, review and editing.
