- Additional Information on Eligibility
- All domestic public and private entities, nonprofit and for-profit, are eligible to apply. Eligible entities may include, but are not limited to, public and private institutions for higher education, public or private health research organizations, foundations, tribes and tribal organizations, and faith-based entities. Applicants must have significant experience with quickly responding to requests for rural data analysis. Due to the rapid nature of policy development and the needs for data in short periods of time, the turnaround time for the data analyses may be as short as one or two days. Past experience must include rural-specific analyses. Many data sets do not explicitly separate data between rural and urban, or use definitions of rural that may not correspond to the definition needed for a particular analysis. Therefore, it is important that applicants have the ability to manipulate or reorganize data sets to accommodate rural-specific analyses.
