Research on Corrupt Schemes and Perpetrators: This award will support research to identify significant corruption schemes and their perpetrators. INL will work with the recipient to determine the focus of the research. Corruption is meant to include activity such as: solicitation, acceptance, offer to provide, or provision of benefits in an attempt to impact the performance of government official's public functions (bribery), misappropriation of public funds, and/or interference with judicial, electoral, or other public processes. The research will further the design and implementation of our anti-corruption foreign assistance programming and policies.
