Sahel Road Safety initiative Reintegration Program: The purpose of the Sahel Road Safety Initiative is to help Senegalese and Burkinabe law enforcement agencies increase road safety and improve citizens' perceptions about law enforcement. Doing so will require both tangible improvement in performance and increased communications efforts to promote and publicize transparency, accountability, and performance improvements. This project will provide technical training to improve police skills and knowledge, and engage at the strategic level with issues of policies, procedures, planning, leadership, and corruption. The approach will include creative efforts to reframe the relationship between citizens and law enforcement that harness relevant lessons from behavioral economics, social psychology, and behavioral change models.
