Specialized Centers of Clinically Oriented Research (Sccor) in Transfusion Biology and Medicine: The primary objective of the Specialized Centers of Clinically Oriented Research (SCCOR) programs is to foster multidisciplinary research on clinically relevant questions enabling basic science findings to be more rapidly applied to clinical problems. The clinical and basic research supported through this RFA program in transfusion biology and medicine is to support the development and application of new knowledge essential for improved safety, efficacy, and availability of blood, blood components, and plasma derivatives, and to transfer these research findings into clinical evaluation and application.
