Strengthening Public Health Systems and Service Delivery and Providing Technical Assistance to Improve Health Outcomes in Haiti under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and other US Government: The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $10,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.This NOFO aims to strengthen the public health system in Haiti and provide high quality health services in order to maximize the positive impact of the Haitian Ministry of Public Health and Population's (MSPP) HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and other programs to achieve and sustain epidemic control as well as prevent or mitigate future outbreaks of disease.Strategies focus on strengthening: (1) Sustainable laboratory quality systems for epidemic control of HIV, TB, and other diseases and integrated disease surveillance laboratory activities; (2) program monitoring, evaluation design, and implementation capacity throughout HIV, TB, and other programs; (3) strategic use of surveillance and epidemiology to support epidemic control of priority diseases (e.g., HIV, TB, cholera, vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs), malaria, acute flaccid paralysis (AFP), lymphatic filariasis (LF), rabies); (4) public health systems and service delivery of non-HIV disease control and prevention programs (e.g., surveillance, laboratory, Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP), water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), TB, cholera, VPDs, malaria, AFP, LF, rabies).This NOFO will contribute to closing the gap for key health priorities PEPFAR Haiti, the Haiti National AIDS Control Program (PNLS), and MSPP. Program activities will result in improved ability to prevent, detect, and control disease outbreaks and improved health outcomes for adults and pediatrics in Haiti.
