U.S. GLOBEC - Global Ocean Ecosystems Dynamics: Pan-Regional Synthesis: As the culmination of a series of solicitations for the U.S. Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics Program (U.S. GLOBEC), this solicitation seeks a broader understanding of climate impacts on marine ecosystems that builds upon findings from the three regional U.S. GLOBEC studies: the Northwest Atlantic, the Northeast Pacific, and the Southern Ocean. Investigators submitting proposals in response to this solicitation should focus on: (1) synthetic activities, including conceptual and analytical modeling activities that capitalize upon and integrate concepts, methods, and/or data from the prior solicitations; (2) broad-scale studies including comparisons across system types, encompassing both GLOBEC and non-GLOBEC study areas; and/or (3) the development of management strategies at the population, community, and ecosystem levels. Participation of investigators new to the U.S. GLOBEC program is strongly encouraged to maximize the scope of the synthesis.
