White Clay Creek: This is NOT a request for appliacation, but an announcement that White Clay Watershed Association, with this award, is continuing its work on the White Clay Creek. Specifically, The White Clay Watershed Association will be responsible for:
1. Plan and implement the enumerated goals in The White Clay Creek Watershed Management Plan with county, state, federal agencies, watershed municipalities, and non-government organizations with shared watershed conservation interests.
2. Develop and produce interpretive exhibits, publications, and other media and programs that interpret the resources of The White Clay Creek and watershed, with priority given to updating the website and maintaining an active social media presence.
3. Promote technical support to NPS for planning education, outreach, and research activities as they relate to The White Clay Creek watershed.
4. Support the needs and goals of The White Clay Creek Steering Committee.
5. Work with the Water Resources Agency, Natural Lands Trust, and the Brandywine Conservancy to provide GIS analysis, technical assistance, and recommendations to the NPS, watershed counties and municipalities, and other non-governmental organizations, and the State of Delaware and Commonwealth of PA.
7. Promote the long term protection of the White Clay Creek watershed and its outstandingly remarkable resources.
8. Participate in municipal planning and zoning meetings and provide technical assistance in the review and revision of municipal plans to ensure consistency with the White Clay Creek Watershed Management Plan and address issues affecting The White Clay Creek and its resources.
