Wildlife Surveys and Natural Resource Preservation in Badlands National Park - Vaccinate Black-footed Ferrets for Plague: This is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities. Original Notice of Intent NOIP16AC00371. This is a continuation of a current cooperative agreement with Prairie Wildlife Research to increase the award amount. Continue survey work and natural resource preservation including vaccination of black-footed ferret, which allows for wildlife monitoring and preservation that expands beyond the park's boundary and benefits this resource on a regional scale. The surveys are in the Conata Basin/Badlands Black-footed Ferret Experimental Population Area as part of an ongoing black-ferret monitoring and protection from plague.
