Anadromous Salmonid Habitat Restoration in the Sacramento River: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to California State University, Chico under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Public Law 102-575, Section 3406(b)(13) and 3407(e). Estimated total amount of agreement is $16,950,834.00. Reclamation is providing $1,355,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2016. The objectives of the project are to: Objective #1: Re-establish meander belts by creating new side channels and modify existing side channels Objective #2: Create and/or improve rearing habitats for the juvenile life stages of anadromous salmonids in the Sacramento River Objective #3: Conduct biological and physical site surveys to document the effectiveness of projects in improving salmonid habitat (Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No. BOR-MP-16-N020 for additional information) A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
