Assist the Ministry of Health to Provide Critical Human Resources for Health to Achieve HIV Epidemic Control in Malawi under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR): This FOA will focus on providing critical human resources through recruitment and provision of salary support to qualified health workers, for the Ministry of Health (MOH) to meet PEPFAR objectives and achieve 90:90:90 goals by 2020 and beyond. The salary support would prioritize filling the gap before graduates get on payroll and would include hardship allowance for health professionals and other allowances as approved by government. The successful applicant will work closely with MOH to ensure maximum alignment with government processes and regulations. The grantee will also support MOH Human Resource Department with HRH planning and management to ensure that there is equitable distribution and maximum utilization of the recruited health workers. The cooperative efforts between CDC and the applicant will lead to expanded availability and quality of HIV/AIDS-related services, with a focus on PEPFAR fourteen priority districts.
