BIL - Rare Earth Element Demonstration Facility: The Department of Energy Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, in collaboration with the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, is issuing this Funding Opportunity Announcement. Awards made under this Announcement will be funded, in whole or in part, with funds appropriated by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also more commonly known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will invest appropriations of $156 million for the design, construction, and operation of a Rare Earth Element Demonstration Facility that demonstrates the extraction, separation and refining from unconventional feedstock materials to high purity individual or binary rare earth metals and/or critical minerals and materials.
