California Condor Internship Program: Great Basin Institute is a University of Nevada affiliated outreach organization that uniquely possesses the technical and adminitrative capacity to effectively evolve our intern program to a sustainable, more experientially robust opportunity for young science interns. The Institute offers doctoral level support and interdisciplinary, programmatic expertise, providing interns the opportunity to earn undergraduate/graduate credit through a collaborative network of regional Universities. GBI supports graduate work in related fields intrinsic tour intern program and has a demonstrative history of leveraging monitoring and restoration funds with grants and fellowships. GBI offers additional cost-sharing through the mentoring made possible by the National Science Foundation's Research Expericence For Undergraduates, while also securing AmeriCorps Eduction Awards that provides $5,500 in student loan debt reduction or funds for continuing their graduate studies. For this initial program year, the institute will offer $22,000 through this program.
