Discover Our Shared Heritage Travel Itinerary Series and Teaching with Historic Places Updates and Additions: This funding announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to funding the following project activities without competition. OVERVIEW Through a Task Agreement against Cooperative Agreement P12AC30538, the National Park Service (NPS) and the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers will continue in a cooperative effort to share knowledge, skills, and resources to promote the purposes of the National Historic Preservation Act through the Discover Our Shared Heritage Travel Itinerary Series and Teaching with Historic Places Updates and Additions project. STATEMENT OF JOINT OBJECTIVES/PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN The overall goal of the project is to update and add information/links to the online NPS Discover Our Shared Heritage travel Itinerary Series and Teaching with Historic Places program website. RECIPIENT INVOLVEMENT National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers agrees to: In coordination with the Chief, Heritage Education Services review and update outdated information/links in online NPS Discover Our Shared Heritage Travel Itinerary Series and Teaching with Historic Places (TwHP) program website. Prepare new content to add to the travel itinerary series and Teaching with Historic Places. Program the content into the travel itinerary series and Teaching with Historic Places websites formats. Create and program a Teaching with Historic Places (TwHP) lesson plan concerning the history of the Bureau of Reclamation s hydropower program, featuring a National Register listed Reclamation power plant(s) that will be posted on the NPS Teaching with Historic Places website. Complete other tasks identified by the Chief, Heritage Education Services. Provide drafts for review and comment by the Chief, Heritage Education Services and incorporate and/or make any necessary changes. NATIONAL PARK SERVICE INVOLVEMENT National Park Service agrees to: In coordination with the NCSHPO, the NPS Chef, Heritage Education Services will determine what outdated information/links in online NPS Discover Our Shared Heritage Travel Itinerary Series and Teaching with Historic Places websites need to be updated. Identify what new content is to be prepared and added to the travel itinerary series and TwHP websites. Review and provide any comments and requests for revisions to the Recipient and approve the final versions. Identify and assign other tasks to the Recipient and review and approve the work. Assure that appropriate updates and additions to the travel itinerary series and TwHP websites are uploaded into the travel itinerary series and TwHP website. NPS did not solicit full and open competition for this award based the following criteria: Unique Qualifications The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location, property ownership, voluntary support capacity, cost-sharing ability if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications. The National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers (NCSHPO) is a non-profit organization for State Historic Preservation Officers that are responsible for carrying out the historic preservation program as delegates of the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. NCSHPO has the resources to continue the work associated with the additions and updates to the Discover Our Shared Heritage Travel Itinerary Series and Teaching with Historic Places website.
