FY 2013 Methane Hydrates: The objective of this Funding Opportunity Announcement is to fund research that advances the current state of knowledge or technology with respect to methane hydrate science focusing on characterization of gas hydrate deposits, response of methane hydrate systems to natural environmental change, and response of gas hydrate reservoirs to induced environmental change to determine the potential of methane hydrates as a potential energy resource and their role in the natural environment.
