Grants for Basic Research in Glomerular Diseases (R01): Purpose. The Division of Kidney, Urologic and Hematologic Diseases (DKUHD) of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) invites applications from new or established investigators to pursue basic exploratory investigations of glomerular disease, which would foster development of new ideas enhancing the understanding of disease detection, pathogenesis, pre-emption and / or treatment. Because the nature and scope of the proposed research will vary from application to application, it is anticipated that the size and duration of each award will also vary.
