Management, Species, Bat Survey, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska: Management, Species, Bat Survey, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska The work would support a collaborative study between Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) Natural Resources program involving a multi-phase project focused on survey of movements and habitat use by bats on JBER. The study includes deployment of passive acoustic monitors to identify bat species presence and habitat use. It also includes preliminary analyses and interpretation of acoustic sound files obtained during the deployment to provide information in seasonal use and behavior (when applicable). Lastly, the study will also focus on developing and implementing a feasibility study on tracking movements to identify high usage areas (roosts, maternity colonies, and hibernacula) and continuing to deploy acoustic monitors to inform peaks in bat activity (key capture windows) and seasonal distribution in other priority areas, as defined in the Work Plan.
