Mozambique has a generalized HIV epidemic with an estimated prevalence of 11.5% among adults aged 15–49 years, and the country is faced with one of the most critical health care worker shortages in the world. In an effort to reach epidemic control, USG has aligned its priorities with UNAIDS Fast Track targets of 90-90-90 and has priorities core set of interventions to be implemented in Mozambique at an accelerated rate. The overall goal of the PEPFAR accelerated plan is to reach coverage for HIV treatment by 80% in prioritized districts as well as for HIV testing & counseling, prevention of mother to child transmission, and voluntary medical male circumcision. This supplemental award aims to support the PEPFAR’s accelerated plan, which is closely aligned with the goals specified through PEPFAR’s AIDS-Free Generation policy as well as UNAIDS Fast Track target of 90-90-90.
