National Aviation Heritage Area- AVIA: 1. Provide annual funding to Aviation Heritage Foundation Inc. to be able to manage and operate National Aviation Heritage Area (AVIA).2. Jointly develop AVIA annual work plan objectives and action items.3. NPS review and approval of AVIA annual work plan and budget justification.4. Provide $330,000.00 per year in federal funds over the 5 year life of this Cooperative Agreement to be matched one for one, to achieve the mission, goals, and objectives of AVIA.5. Oversee the proper spending of federal funds.6. Approve AVIA annual reportCongress established National Aviation Heritage Area (AVIA) to preserve, protect and interpret the nationally significant stories of aviation history in the USA, in addition to providing greater public access to the natural, historic, and recreational resources of the region through the National Heritage Area designation. In addition, AVIA was created as an economic stimulus in the Dayton and southwestern Ohio region.1. Work within the framework and federal mandate to implement the approved general management plan by working with designated aviation heritage partners, communities, and NPS.2. Utilize the AVIA strategic plan for long term projects and programs.3. Create and implement annual work plans to carry out the work of the strategic plan and general management plan.4. Ensure strategic plan and annual work plans establish measurable performance goals as they relate to the following goals: A. Preserve and develop AVIA heritage assets B. Promote AVIA assets C. Preserve and re-develop the Wright Company Factory Site D. Develop a Sustainable Organization5. Secure non-federal matching funds for this Cooperative Agreement6. See 2020 Annual Work plan attached.
