Partner Wayside Replacement - LECL: This project will also allow for direct involvement and partnership with a variety of local, county, state, tribal, and non-profit entities, working together to offer a more substantial and positive visitor experience across the 11 trail states. The direct beneficiary of this project will be the public who are seeking authentic experiences and knowledge of the culture and history of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail (NHT). The project will help alleviate the backlog of interpretive sign replacement and will aid communities and non-Federal entities without means to renovate and rejuvenate their local interpretive areas to offer a quality visitor experience. Visitors bring economic benefits to municipalities along the trail. This project with Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation will increase public awareness and interpretive opportunities by the replacement/upgrading of current wayside exhibits not owned by NPS but are along the National Historic Trail' which are mainly in disrepair and outdated.
