Program for Testing, Care, Treatment, and Prevention of HIV/AIDS (PROTECT) among Key Populations: Men who have Sex with Men and Commercial Sex Workers in the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire under PEPFAR: US CDC will through this FOA, award to a consortium with the purpose of establishing a self-sustaining comprehensive clinical and community Program for Testing, Care, Treatment, and Prevention for HIV/AIDS (PROTECT) for men who have sex with men (MSM), Female sex workers (FSW), and evidence based selected priority populations in Cote d’Ivoire to increase the adoption of high impact HIV services and protective behaviors among at-risk populations in targeted locations.PROTECT aims to: i) accelerate the ability of partner governments, key population (KP) civil society organizations and private sector providers to more effectively plan, deliver and optimize comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services to reduce HIV transmission among KPs (sex workers, men who have sex with men) and their sexual partners and help extend life for those who are HIV-positive; ii) reduce stigma and discrimination; and iii) do mapping and size estimation of key populations for providing information on hot-post.
