Southwest Region Aquatic Invasive Species: The purpose of this funding opportunity is to provide assistance in preventing, managing, and controlling aquatic invasive species within the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's Southwest Region. This including a process to fund State Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Management Plans as approved by the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force and authorized by the Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control Act of 1990, and also includes a process to fund cooperative agreements with institutions of higher education who partner with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in coordinating the prevention, management, and control of aquatic invasive species.
