Support Appalachian Trail Landscape Partnership (FY2017): This announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award a task agreement under a previously single source justified master cooperative agreement. ATC will: 1. Collaborate with NPS and other partners on the development of common goals and objectives for the Appalachian Trail Landscape Partnership, including stakeholder coordination, communication, scientific evaluation, resource preservation, land protection, and education. 2. Secure the services of a professional facilitator to help lead the ATLP through organizational formation, stakeholder consensus-building, conservation goal-setting, and action plan development. 3. Plan and hold an annual partnership meeting with approximately 50-60 stakeholders. • Contract for NCTC meeting facility • Recruit and organize a planning team to advise and guide annual meeting planning and implementation • Advertise and recruit participants from the A.T. Landscape Partnership and other audiences as identified by the planning team • Organize presentations to be shared and discussed at the symposium • Generate and distribute a final summary report of the annual meeting o Distribute to meeting participants and to the A.T. Landscape Partnership 4. Plan and conduct an interdisciplinary science symposium focused on large landscape conservation for the greater A.T. landscape in consultation with NPS and other key partners, through which ATC will explore the availability and application of scientific, data-driven information for the support of conservation decision-making. • Locate and contract for meeting facility • Contract for meeting facilitation • Recruit and organize a planning team to advise and guide symposium planning and implementation • Advertise and recruit participants from the A.T. Landscape Partnership and other audiences as identified by the planning team • Organize presentations and data collection to be shared and discussed at the symposium • Generate and distribute a final symposium proceedings report o Distribute to summit participants and to the A.T. Landscape Partnership o Promote and provide a link to the final symposium proceedings on ATC's A.T. Landscape Partnership website 5. Maintain a primary role in coordinating the activities of the ATLP, including partner and public communications, facilitating Steering Committee and working groups, identifying conservation priorities, and administrative record-keeping.
