Supporting Sustainable Implementation of Comprehensive HIV Prevention and Treatment Programs in Faith Based Organization Facilities in the Republic of Kenya under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR): The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $21,698,869 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. This NOFO supports comprehensive, quality HIV prevention and treatment programs in faith based organization (FBOs) facilities in Nairobi, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Meru, Kitui, Tharaka Nthi, Machakos, Kilifi, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Laikipia, Makueni, Nakuru, Muranga, Embu, Mombasa, Kwale, Kajiado, Homabay, Siaya Migori, Bungoma, Kisii, Kisumu, Kakamega, Vihiga, and Busia Counties in Kenya. These FBO facilities leverage the interaction with faith communities to provide services to difficult to reach populations who may not get access through more traditional means. For sustainability and efficiency, HIV services will be integrated into the routine health care delivery system with strong linkages to the counties and communities. This will include HIV testing services; pediatric and adult HIV treatment; TB/HIV prevention, diagnosis and treatment; prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT); voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC); orphans and vulnerable children (OVC); key populations (KP) (female sex workers [FSW], men who have sex with men [MSM], Transgender [TG], and people who inject drugs [PWID]); adolescent girls and young women (AGYW); and laboratory services and strategic information. The NOFO aligns with UNAIDS, PEPFAR, and Kenya's goal to end AIDS by 2030 through improved coverage of HIV services resulting in reduced HIV incidence, reduced morbidity and mortality among people living with HIV (PLHIV), and elimination of mother-to-child-transmission of HIV (EMTCT).
