Water Conservation Program Education Grants: The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region, intends to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), Water Conservation Program Education Grants, for a Grant Agreement(s) pursuant to the authority of Public Law 102-575, Title XXXIV of the Central Valley Improvement Act, Section 3405(e) and Section 3407(e). The objective of this FOA is to invite non-profit organizations in the Mid-Pacific Region, to leverage their money and resources by cost sharing with Reclamation on programs that seek to improve water conservation and public awareness of water use efficiency issues and practices through classroom education and classroom material development and distribution. Proposals will be ranked on education quality, facilities, the extent of the outreach program, and the quality of supporting documents. Successful applicants will enter into a financial assistance agreement with Reclamation. Period of Performance is an approximate two year period from the date of issuance. R14AS00022 will be posted on the GRANTS.GOV web site, at www.grants.gov, on or about February 25, 2014. The date for receipt of proposals is on March 25, 2014, no later than 1 p.m. PDT. The FOA must be downloaded from Grants.gov. No paper copy of this announcement will be distributed.The purpose is to increase public awareness of efficient water use, in order to reduce competition for the water resources and thus ease the strain on the limited water supply, resulting in increased benefits to the human population, fish and wildlife. This work is to be accomplished throughout the Mid-Pacific Region to benefit the Central Valley Project and public at large.
