Aspen Woodland Study: The Bureau of Land Management, Wyoming State Office, intends to award a cooperative agreement with the University of Wyoming - Wyoming Natural Diversity Database to provide information on the current status of vegetation types, rare plants, and noxious weeds in low elevation aspen woodlands and produce a summary of ecological data pertinent to standards and textual data on current Resource information. It would also provide information on manipulating the stands to increase aspen health while potentially producing forest products- fence posts and fuelwood. The anticipated length of the project is a one (1) year period. The BLM will consider continued funding for the project upon (a) the recipient showing progress satisfactory to the BLM toward program goals and the determination by the BLM that continuation of the program would be in the best interest of the Government or (b) the availability of funds. The total project period for this award will not exceed twelve (12) months.
