FY 2005 NIJ Evaluation of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Preventions Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Demonstration Programs: The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) seeks proposals to conduct formative evaluations of two pilot programs supported by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) that address the problem of commercial sexual exploitation of children. The two programs, in New York City and Atlanta/Fulton County, were chosen for their promising strategies to improve the community response to the commercial sexual exploitation of children. NIJs evaluation will require collaboration among the evaluator, OJJDP, NIJ, and the two sites to establish data collection and performance monitoring systems and to build the sites capacity to assess program performance. Ultimately, this evaluation will identify a set of model strategies and practices to address the commercial sexual exploitation of children in other communities.
