Lake Woollomes Recreation Upgrades: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a Cooperative Agreement R13AP20008 to Kern County Parks and Recreation, under the authority of Catalog for Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.517, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act. The objectives at Lake Woollomes Reservoir Recreation Area, are to reduce the incidence of erosion from the Lake banks, re-vegetate areas throughout the recreation area where trees have died or been damaged and shade has diminished for visitors. Roadways need to be repaired and maintained for public safety, wetlands area need to be developed further to protect local waterfowl and migratory birds from public intrusion into nesting and feeding areas. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
