NIJ FY06 Forensic Toxicology Research and Development: The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) seeks concept papers for research and development to enhance qualitatively and/or quantitatively the analytical tools, technologies and techniques employed by crime laboratories in forensic toxicological analyses. This solicitation focuses on: 1. Advancing research on alternative drug testing matrices and the pharmacokinetical relationship between these alternative matrices and controlled substances. 2. Improving the specificity and sensitivity of analytical tools/technologies used in forensic toxicological analyses. 3. Development of new analytical techniques. 4. Development of non-destructive techniques.
