Native American Technical Assistance Program: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Lower Colorado Region, Yuma Area Office is requesting proposals to fund projects for activities in support of their Native American Technical Assistance Program in federal Fiscal Year 2009. The Yuma Area Office periodically makes funding available for development, management, and protection of Indian tribal water resources. Types of projects that are the focus of this year include water conservation and improvement programs and habitat conservation and riparian restoration. It is anticipated that up to four awards of a grant or cooperative agreement will be made to a responsive, responsible and eligible recipient and will be based on technical merit at the fixed assistance amount. Cost sharing is not required. Applications will be reviewed, evaluated, and rated by a technical panel against the criteria found in the request for proposal.
