Natural Resources Stewardship and Support in San Mateo County: Project activity continues efforts to restore and enhance natural resources on GGNRA lands in San Mateo County. Project sites include Rancho Corral de Tierra, Sweeney Ridge, Phleger Estate, Mori Point and Milagra Ridge. Key project objectives include native plant restoration, invasive plant control, natural resources project management, wildlife monitoring and public outreach and volunteer opportunities related to natural resources. Throughout GGNRA lands in San Mateo County, native plant installation and invasive plant removal is needed to improve habitat, especially for federally listed species such as the Hickman¿s potentilla, the mission blue butterfly and the California red legged frog. The actions proposed in this project are to collect native plant propagules, grow plants in a native plant nursery, plant native plants, remove invasive plants, conduct monitoring and inventory activities, engage in public outreach and provide natural resources project support as needed.
