North Slope Oil and Gas and Related Activity Planning on Federal Lands Located Within the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A): The project will assist local residents in participating in land use planning and environmental reviews related to oil and gas leasing, development, and production on federal lands located within the NPR-A. The project will continue a decade long cooperative relationship with the residents to obtain pertinent knowledge of indigenous people residing within the borough concerning customary and traditional activities and subsistence activities occurring on federal lands, including BLMs 23 million acre (NPR-A). As current and future planning efforts emerge, the need for close, productive cooperation between the residents and the BLM is critical
