Democracy Commission Small Grants Program: The Democracy Commission Small Grants Program was initiated in the spring of 1994 as a way to support Albanian non-governmental, non-partisan organizations, which, in the Commission's view, promote the development of a democratic society. The U.S. Embassy Democracy Commission identifies those initiatives, which influence the establishment and development of democratic civil society in Albania .
