Lake Cascade State Park O&M: The basic activities to be funded through this action include: 1) Manage 17 recreation site units at Lake Cascade State Park, many of which combine boat ramps, day use and campgrounds under the same unit name. 2) Provide public information, assistance, education, and aid when needed 3) Patrol and enforce park regulations 4) Collect and process day use and camping fees 5) Clean park facilities to a high standard (visitors actually comment to me on it) 6) Maintain park equipment including vehicles, mowers, generators, pumps, etc. 7) Maintain park facilities, including restrooms, tables, signs, etc 8) Test well water systems monthly, open and winterize water systems 9) Recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate seasonals and volunteers 10) Administer and renew contracts for trash removal, electric, sewer, water, portable toilets, telecommunications, road maintenance, and law enforcement services 11) Inspect all park facilities for safety and maintenance needs, including hazard trees 12) Treat weeds and maintain trails 13) Have vault toilets and dump stations pumped 14) Maintain boat ramp facilities 15) Maintain working relationship with Sheriff's Marine Deputy and other local law enforcement agencies 16) Notify BOR of potential violations outside of park boundaries 17) Attend IDPR law enforcement training 18) Train for, plan and provide interpretive services 19) Maintain and plant native vegetation when needed 20) Maintain park grounds: mow, irrigate, fertilize, pick up litter, etc. 21) Maintain documentation of each water system, including water quality, drain and shut-off locations, etc. 22) Purchase necessary supplies and materials for park maintenance and office operations, within budget constraints & IDPR policy 23) Do numerous other miscellaneous things that keep the park running smoothly
