Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area Trails Project: The BLM seeks a partner (recipient) for collaboration whose interest is to promote conservation and environmental education by primarily engaging young Americans in a trail creation, designation and signage project. In addition, the recipient will explore public outreach opportunities, education and involvement, and possibly coordinate support from National Trails Volunteers. Particular focus will be placed on the implementation of a trail system in the Sloan Canyon NCA and North McCullough Wilderness, where the recipient will provide opportunities for youth to experience the process of implementing resource management objectives. The collaboration will provide an opportunity for younger Americans to obtain on the ground experience in resource management provided through trail creation, designation, restoration and signage, and also rehabilitation of existing social trails. The recipients participation in this project would allow for their personnel to become familiar with federal land management processes and policies related to recreation, National Conservation Areas and wilderness resources.
